Beautiful Butterfly

Things have been so hectic this week. As we all know getting ready for stamp camp isn't as simple as packing my stuff and going. My children still have to go to tennis, soccer, two birthday parties and the normal weekend stuff. So I just had to share with you my routine for the weekend. This is a picture of my formal lounge and it has lot's of piles of clothes with labels on them. So my husband knows what to put on who and when. Lol. So not alot of time for stamping this week. Saving it all up for the weekend. But last Friday I was at Leonie's and made this card. I found it on S.C.S and loved it. We changed it to suit the stamps that we had and I love these colours. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend. I know I will.

MDU #18- Christams in July

I must say I am loving all the Christmas in July card's that are around at the moment. So am happy to have been able to complete this challenge. I don't actually have any chrissy Magnolia's, so made do by colouring in with christmas colours.

The main colours I used were real red, choc chip and old olive. Choc chip and real red ribbon. I used for the first time my holly embossing folder. It took me a while to think about what to put on this card, but I'm happy with the finished card. Thanks for looking.

Come in spinner.

My nehpew's birthday is coming up and I thought it would be a good idea to use the fun pun stamp set. I love this cute little rocket. So what better way then to put it on a spinner for the full effect.

I used night of navy and real red card stock. I embossed the moon with circles to give it the crater look. I saw this on SCS but not sure where so thanks for the idea. It's a bit hard to see but it looks good IRL. The stars are from a misc clear set that I have and must say don't use much. Overall I think my nephew will love it.

This next card is for my son's 16 year old friend. Her birthday was last night and I was going to make her a girly card using some of Leonie's borrowed Hannah stamps, but apparently she isn't girly and is footy mad. So here is what I did for her. The idea was totally cased from a card that Leonie had shown me early that morning(when picking the hannah stamps up). So thanks for the idea Leonie, I know I will be using the footy card again. So quick and simple.

Thanks for looking.

Winterwonderland - Week 7

Another day, another challenge. I very love chrissy challenges. My chrissy card stack is getting bigger and bigger. This weeks challenge at winterwonderland is christmas present. So it was good being able to get this retired crazy for christmas set out. The colours I used are riding hood red, white and mellow moss. I have this technique around alot and thought it was the perfect card to use it with.

Thanks for looking.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #17

Another great challenge for this fortnight. I must say it has been very hectic at my house. No time for stampin. But now the school holiday's is over it's back to business. So here is a card I made last night. The Manolia Down Under Challenge is a sketch this week and I was very looking forward to participating. I used the new hostess D.S.P and my colours are white, ballet blue and ruby rose.

Lovely Lisa is turning 40

My Lovely sister Lisa is turning 40 in August so one of my presents to her is I have made her birthday invitations. I borrowed the Horte Couture stamp set off Leonie (thank you) and went to work. As you can see Lisa couldn't make her mind up so we used taken with teal, rose red, and ellegant eggplant for the main colours. Other colours I used are basic gray, black and I put it all together on some black textured paper.

Lisa then wanted one of the invitations to keep for herself, and she couldn't make her mind up, so her invitation has all the colours on it as you can see. Her idea not mine. Lol. Any way the back of the invitation was simple using vellem that I printed on. And held on by a cocktail glass punched out. But due to my sisters request it's hard to see this as she didn't want her details of the party going out on the internet. But I think they look great and Lisa couldn't stop looking at them and saying thank you. So I think she is a happy sister right now.

Sorry about the photo quality, due to the darkness outside I just couldn't get a good picture, which is such a shame as the invitations look great IRL.

Thanks for looking

Surprise, Surprise

A couple of weeks ago I had a workshop for Leonie at my house. Invited some friends around and Leonie showed them some techniques. Well to my surprise Leonie didn't tell me that she had some late order entries which boosted my total past $600. So as a surprise she order me a stamp set (pun fun) that she knew that I wanted.

So what a surprise when I popped in to see Leonie today and my order was there with this amazing surprise for me. I was so excited. This just made my day. So thank you again my lovely friend and as you can see from the card below, I went straight home and made a card to thank Leonie for the surprise.
After making this very special card I just didn't feel like making any more. Even though I was child free, I just felt like getting out. Leonie, Sarah and Annette were at a roller rink and I so love roller skating. So off I went. It's been a while since I have been but happy to say that I only fell over once. What fun. The lovely Annette took a picture of me on the way past. Not the best shot but I had so much fun. Next time I might even take the kid's. Lol

Christmas in July

Have been so busy this week not much time for stampin except at Leonie's work shop. Here is some fantasitc card's that we made for xmas in July. As you can tell it was bling bling night. Was a lovely evening with chrissy carol's playing and special candy canes. Thanks Leonie.

I must say that I am a very modern girl but when it comes to christmas I am very traditional. So I just love, love, love the first card in these lovely christmas colours. But then again I love a blue christmas as well. So OK I love all the card's. I love christmas.

This second card is done with special sticky paper and lot's of embossing powder. It is a very simple technique that we learnt from a The Stampin UP WOW D.V.D we were given last year.

This last card has a special button in the middle. It is faux metal. Was very cool to try. You emboss a piece of card stock 4 or five times and on the last time you press your stamp into the embossing and it makes this imprint. How tricky is that. I hope everyone is having some nice christmas in July celabrations. Thanks for looking.
