!0 years of Marriage

Last weekend I was at spotlight (surprise, surprise) and found the most delicious paper and rub ons. Most people that know me know that brown's and blues are my favorite colours. I couldn't resist buying it. So the problem was finding a photo that fit the colour scheme of the paper. I must say most of my pages are bright summer scenes or pink. Finally after searching all photo files, I found this lovely photo of Russ and I that I took with my iphone before we went and saw Mary Poppins on our 10 years wedding anniversary. I got it printed in sepia to match the colour theme.

I kept thinking all night what I was going to do with this page. As I wanted it to be special. And it took me most of yesterday afternoon and this morning to finish it. In the end I'm really happy with the finish project and I must say my fave bit is the rub ons. I haven't done rub ons much as I'm always worried if they don't work properly it might wreck the whole page. But they worked perfectly. Thanks for looking. Now on to my next project. Still waiting for my copic markers :(

Digital Boy and Copic Markers

I saw this cool image over at the lovely Annette's and just knew that I had to have it. It is so hard to make card's for teenage boy's. He is called "digital boy". I got it from Mo's digital shop. I coloured him in using some crayon's and markers with my aqua painter. And that's when i started thinking that I really want to get some copic markers.

Which started my thinking that a few months ago the lovely and talented Emma let me use some of her copic markers to colour in this little girl and I totally forgot. Emma is very talented with her copics and gave me great colouring in instructions. I found the image in my caddy and decided to use her straight away. I really loved using the copic markers. My birthday is coming up in 10 day's and hubby has said I can get some for my birthday. Yeah. Will be ordering them today. Now to find my list of markers that I want/need.lol

Two 60th's and a Baptism

Two of my good friends turned 60 over the last two weeks, so a few of us girls decided to try and organise a surprise party. Which turned into a comedy of errors trying to get us all in the same room at the same time. Any way it was a great evening and a great surprise.

I saw these little books over at the very cool and talented Leonie's house and thought they were a great idea for a group of people to sign. I must say I just love soft suede and baja breeze. Sorry about the photo quality. I quickly had to take the photo before the party.

On Sunday we had baby Alexis baptism so here is the card I made. Once again inspiration from Leonie's. Thanks Leo.

Fun, Fun, Fun

It's been around six weeks since I have been in this house by myself without little ones around me. And most of you mum's will understand what that is like. So today off went Cam and Tara to the school holiday soccer program.

Wow 3 hours to myself. What to do? First thing to wash the car and give it a vaccuum. Then I came home and decided to do some scrappin. I love scrapbooking but it's hard to start. But I quickly found some photo's that I had printed off from christmas 2008. So here are the pages that I have completed. I can't beleive I have done 2 pages in one day.

Mind you the first one I can't take all the credit as I got the idea from the scrappin kit it came with. But the other one is all me. I must say I thought I would get so bored using the same xmas paper, but it feels good using it all up and getting ready for next years paper.

Before I finish off I would like to show you all my new craft room. We have a fairly big house with lots of lounge rooms and bedrooms, but I hated having all my craft out in the open (and sometimes messy). Then I was trying to explain to my 17 year old James that he can't turn the theartre room into his bed room as well. We don't use that room alot, mainly for when James has friends over or is using his xbox. So I had a brain wave and decided that James should move his bedroom into the theatre room and I moved all my craft stuff into his room down the back. So over a couple of day's things were changed around and now I have my own craft room. So exciting. Plus I now have a formal lounge room that is just for watching TV. It's so clean. Even Edward and Bella likes the change. (last photo)lol

Circle's Circle's

This is a page that a made a few months ago and now that I can blog again I thought I would put it up. We went to Goldcoast in September and I have so far done 3 pages of our QLD trip. This is one of the kid's in the pool. I must say when I got the circle sissors it was a bit of a pain to figure out. The trick is to put lots of dotto on the back of your card stock. Then you can wipe off the excess glue if you need.

I'm having so much fun.

Wow I am having so fun with my blog again. Making cards and checking out what other people are doing. Any way I saw this card at Leonie's house. She was given it as a christmas card. And I traced the creator back to Addicted to Stamping. What a clever lady she is. I must say I thought this was going to be so difficult but it wasn't at all. Here is what I have created with the template and I can't wait to make some more. I got this Baby Bundle stamp set just recently with the sales and have used it heaps. Thanks for looking

Colour Q challenge #66

Wow I couldn't even tell you the last time I entered a challenge. It is so nice to have the time to make card's let alone enter challenges. Anyway I must say this was a challenge. I never use yellow. It has to be one of my least fave colours. Sorry to all you yellow lovers out there. So here is my card and if you want to play along visit Colour Q.

Sorry the picture is a bit dark. Just took it now as I couldn't wait to put it on the blog. TFL

Blog candy at Kristy Youngs

Kristy has some amazing blog candy that she is giving away. Check out her blog for this amazing candy.

Holiday Cards

We have been to Warrnambool for a week. So i decided on those quiet nights I would make some cards. I borrowed Susan's (a fantastic new demo's) colour coach and decided to make all my cards with the colour combos they suggested.

So here is what I created. I had very limited stuff with me so it made me think about all those years ago when all I had was colours and a mat pack. lol

This first one is pear pizazz, blushing bride and expresso.

Next is poppy parade, daffodile delight and baja breeze.

Third up we have rich razzleberry, old olive and pumpkin pie.
and last but not least is concord crush, pear pizazz and peach parfait. Very simple cards but I'm happy with the results.

I'm Back

Hello ladies, Well it has been months since I have blogged. My computer has been playing games and I have been unable to upload photo's but on the 1st Jan I brought a laptop. Yeah. How exciting. So I am back from my holiday's, and very soon will be able to show you what I have been up to in the last few months. Looking forward to blogging again. Just need to sort out all this washing.
