It has been a very busy week for me. Not alot of time for card making. But I have been thinking about what to make for this weeks Magnolia Down Under Challenge. I thought it would be nice to use my brayer again. Practice makes perfect. I got my inspiration from Michelle Zindorf. But I'm just not sure that it turned out like I wanted it too. Tilda looks a bit out of place on her rock. It would of been nice to have some swimming dolphins or other mermaids in the background. But never mind. Can't change it now. Also excuse the photo, as the light is fading and had to get the card up for the challenge. Thanks for looking.

Christmas Sketch challenge
So another christmas challenge. Yeah. But mine is a little different. I found in my christmas stash a very cool embossed tree from the seasons of joy set. I really wanted to use this, but because of the shape I had to change my card a bit. So my card is a vertical version of the challenge. I hope that's ok. I used purley pomegrante, always artichoke and river rock. I really love these colours. Thanks for looking.

MDUC #12 Flutter by Butterfly
Wow I was so looking forward to this challenge as I knew which stamp to use. Kellie and Debbie have been so nice letting me stamp off their images, so I had heaps to choose from.
I was inspired to make this card. My good friend Leonie (see blog here) made a beautiful card using her brayer, which inspired me to do the same. I must say that I have only used my brayer twice, so was happy with the results. Yeah me.
I then finally used my new pocket silhouettes stamp set for the bottom bushes. As you can see I used the chasing edwin, some cute little butterflies and a gate. I have used about 10 different inks and my aqua pen for this card, but I can't remember which ones. Sorry. Last but not least I was needing something for a sun, and in the new Haiku D.S.P I found a flower that to me resembles a sun. So I thought why not. I stuck that on a chipboard circle, that I won in kellies blog candy. Thanks Kellie.
So check out all the other amazing magnolia card's at Magnolia Down Under.

Debbie's Colour Combo Challenge #17

I was very excited to find a blog site that has christmas challenges all year long. So here is my first christmas challenge. The colours are supposed to be choc chip, sage shadow or apricot appeal/cameo coral. Anyway I stuffed up and used groovy guava instead. Opp's. I hope this doesn't get me kicked off the challenge. Lol
Firstly I need to thank the very talented Debbie Pamment as she gave me this idea. Thanks Debbie. Check out her blog for some great idea's. Anyway I used the holiday line up, with some afternoon tea D.S.P, some groovy guava textured paper and choc chip ribbon. I used the snow flurry stamp set to stamp a snow flake and put that on a build a brad. I coloured in my snow men with inks and my aqua painter.
I have had so much fun for my first christmas challenge. To have a look at other christmas card's and the challenge visit Christmas Stampin.

Amy R's Friday Sketch 67
Yesterday I decided not to make a card but to just have a look around at what challenges and other cool stuff is out there. In the process I found a sketch that I knew I could do at Amy R's. So here is my card.
To start with I have to say that I don't own any oval or circle cutters, so a while back I borrowed fishy friends and some oval cutters from Leonie (thanks lovey). So I was very limited in what I had to use. I used summer sun, ellegant eggplant and bashful blue C.S. Ellegant eggplant ribbon and some misc brads. Finished off with a nice ellegant eggplant octopus. I must say I'm not the happiest with this card, but will have to do. TFL
Crazy 4 Cupcakes
Last week my daughters kinda teacher was showing me some card's that she had made. It has only been in the recent months that we have worked out that we both do stampin. So I decided to take some quick pictures of her card's, so I could case them. Leesa then proceeded to tell me that she got her idea from the Catalogue anyway. I have been a bit frustrated with using this set as I just couldn't think of anything to do with it until now.
The first card I used ruby red and whisper white c.s. I used my aqua painter with pacific blue, ruby red, creamy caremel and so saffron ink. I used some glitter chip board letters that I got at a craft shop this morning.

MDUC #11
Wow what a challenge. I have been thinking for the last few day's of what I was going to do. Then my label die cut's came in the mail and I knew that I had to use them. And then I was on Andrea's blog and she had used sticky strip with her supernova. So I decided to do that too. The rest of the card just fell in place. I must say even though I like the new in colours, I really love the old ones.
In this card I used afternoon tea D.S.P and some other old D.S.P that I don't know the name of. Some choc chip textured paper, soft sky C.S. Some new felt flowers of choc chip and baja breeze with a choc chip button. I put sticky strip on my label C.S and then put supernove choc chip all over. I really like the effect it has given. I painted the beautiful little Tilda in choc chip, close to cocoa, wild wasabi, groovy guava, soft sky and blush blossom. I really love colouring in at the moment. It's very theaputic.
Check out the Magnolia challenge here to see all the great creations from the clever magnolia girls.

Pink
I have just come home from one of Leonie's great workshop's and can't sleep. So I'm checking out everyone's blog and have decided to change my blog background. Not that I don't like Twilight anymore, but I felt like something different.
But those who know me, know that I don't do pink, but this background just is beautiful. Maybe my little girl is turning me into a pink girl. Fancy that. What's next pink lipstick.(I don't think so). Lol

MDUC #9
Oh I really liked this challenge. I found some old D.S.P with spot's. I used wild wasabi, really rust C.S. I used my aqua painter and wild wasabi, really rust, garden green, night of navy, bordering blue and choc chip ink to colour Edwin in. I just love this little boy. So cute. My newphew is turning 4 in a couple of weeks, so I thought this one would be good for his birthday.
Mothers Day
As we know mothers day is approaching. So I have been very good and got my card's done early. I have had some request from my sisters for a card, so I have made a couple of extra's for them.
Unfortunatly I haven't got time to write down all the instructions. Will hopefully come back to that later. Have a great weekend. I'm off for a girls weekend away so lot's of relaxing time for me.
Thanks for looking.
