Christmas top notes

Just a quick post to show a christmas card idea I found over at Claire's blog. I loved the idea of using the D.S.P that is retiring on my christmas cards. It was so easy and simple, I made 7 of these cards in less then an hour.

Boy and Girl

I would love to say that I created these next two card's all by myself, but they were inspired by the New Idea book and catty. Crazy for cupcakes was one of those sets that I just had to buy, but I don't use it alot. As soon as I saw this sample i knew that I had to give it a go. I didn't have to change it at all. But the boy one I changed and put a little alien in it from the Greetings Earthlings set. Also i used my bold bright crayons that never see the light of day. I fogot what a great effect it makes. The one clever thing I did was use my marker to change the colour of the ribbon to what I needed. How cool was that? Lol

Birthday cards

I thought that I would pop up some of the very clever birthday card's my daughter received for her birthday last week. This top one is of all of the home made cards. Fellow stamper and friend Kylie had a workshop and we all made the pony card, so Tara got a couple of those for her birthday. Lol.

The castle card was done buy the very talented and great friend(suck, suck) Leonie. Not sure the exact technique, but it has three layers to the card. Very cool.

This last one is the one that I made for Tara. Tara is a big mermaid lover so it just had to be this one and finished with heaps of sparkle.

2 posts in 2 days. Yeah

Here's another simple card I made on the weekend. Plus some cute shot's of the kid's. My big girl turned 5 last week and on Friday night Cameron won a most improved award for his soccer match. How cool is that. I had to try really hard not to scream my excitement.

Inspired by Retired

It's been over a month since I have been on my blog. What can I say? Life is just busy. But I have been having lots of fun re organising my CS and Inks in preperation for the new colours that we are all excited to get.

Like everyone I could not believe how much CS I have that is retiring. So I was on a mission this weekend to use some of it. The colours are Groovy Guava, Ruby Red and River Rock. The D.S.P was one of my faves, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is called.

These next two cards are made with Apricot Appeal and Ballet Blue. Two more colours that are retirng. I have seen these little prams everywhere and thought it was about time I made some. They where so quick and easy. Thanks for looking. Hopefully it's not too long til my next post.
