Lovely as a tree

Don't ask my why it has taken me so long to buy Lovely as a tree. I have used Leonies (thanks lovey) quite a lot but never got around to buying it. Any way so I ordered it last week and it came today. So here is my card I made with my lovely new set. We made some lovely cards using this faux wood technique a while back at Leonie's and I thought it was a good idea to re-visit for this card. Also over at Marelle Taylor she has the instructions aswell. Here is my version of what I did.

I used Lovely as a tree stamp set with Windsor Park D.S.P. Misc brads and some twill.
1. Swipe a piece of More Mustard cardstock with a More Mustard inkpad, using your stamp pad direct to paper. Repeat with Creamy Caramel, then Close to Cocoa, and then Chocolate Chip (if desired)
2. (optional) Use a ruler and Chocolate Chip marker to draw lines for floorboards and nail-holes. Make sure to stagger your joins!
3. Now swipe with Whisper White Craft ink, and set aside to dry.
4.Then I repeated the process with More Mustard, creamy caramel, close to cocoa and finished off with choc chip just to finish off.

Christmas Trees

I have having a little looky at the American Catty the other day and came across this cool card. I thought I would give it a go. I made the template up and punched out as required. I must say I think they look very cute. Something different anyway.

I did the first one in old olive, real red and whisper white with Ski slope D.S.P. But I was very excited about doing a blue one. But I must say I'm a bit dissapointed with it. I just couldn't think of what colour to mount it on too, but it worked out ok. Now that makes 12 card's I have made in 3 day's. That has to be a record.

Thanks again for looking and all your lovely comments. It makes my day when I see people enjoy what I do.

Watering can

Just a small post. I have been eyeing off this little watering can on SCS. So cute just had to make one.

Makeesha colour challenge #14

I got up this morning and decided to do a non christmas card and a challenge card too. Makeesha always has some great colour challenges so off I went to visit her blog.

The colours I used where choc chip, baja breeze, kiwi kiss, taken with teal and white. These colours together look fantastic. I used my new little yummy Tilda stamp with kitchen. This was so much fun colouring in. I put crystal effects on the windows, and door knobs, and the jars for a nice shiny finish. I am so in love with this card. I can't stop looking at it. Lol. Not sure if you can tell but I did some paper piercing on the hat and dress of tilda. That was so much fun as I've never done that before. I love having all this time to do different techniques.

Can't Wait

Ok so I can't wait. It's been a while since I have done so many cards in one day and I was going to space them out. But couldn't wait to show you my clever cards. Christmas again. It's all christmas at the moment.

I knew as I was making this card that I wanted to do it in two colours. So I choose Riding hood red and Baja breeze. I teamed it with white textured paper and some snow flake paper that I use only for special occasions. I used my ink pads and aqua pen to blend in the colours with matching in colour ribbons.

I then used crystal effects on the snow men followed by dazzling diamonds. It gives it a real snow man look. I think so anyway. I finished off the red one with a misc brad and a snow flake. But decided to get tricky with the other snow flake and put dazzling diamonds on that too. So much glitter floating around at the moment. Have now officially ran out of card's to show, so better make some more. See you soon.

Card's card's and more cards.

Don't ask me how but I made 4 card's this morning in just 2 hours. This is what happens when you are stuck at home healing. Here is the first 2 cards I made.

A cute little spinner card using the tree trimmings set. Colours are bordering blue and night of navy. In the spinner gap I used the saying from the crazy for christmas set. I finished off the christmas bauble with dazzling diamonds. I cased this idea at Hautocraft.

The next card is tree trimmings again. I am loving this set at the moment. Same colours as above but for the main card I used silver. Sorry about the photo's. I just can't get it right at the moment.
Will be back later with my other to masterpieces. Thanks for looking.

More Christmas Cards

Was very busy last night making some chrissy cards with the Tree Trimmings stamp set. i just love split coast stampers. So much to choose from. So here is one that I cased from Tessa's blog. You can visist her blog here. I changed the colours to suit the ski slope D.S.P i have.

But this next card is all my idea. Very simple but nice. You can't see, but the old olive decoration is 3D. These was so much more I wanted to do, but I have a sore tummy at the moment due to an operation and can't sit at the craft desk for too long. I''ll see what I can get up to this weekend.

Thank you card

As some of you know I have recently started selling Tupperware. And was very lucky that my family and friends hosted some parties for me to start me off. So in honour of the Breast Cancer month I put together a little thank you pack for those that have supported me and my new business. Of course it comes with there own little thank you card. This is one that I made for Leonie with the new baking tilda. I love this little slice of cake.

Due to being so busy with tupperware I haven't had much time to make anything else, but I will hopefully get some things done this weekend. What I like about this card is that I was able to use the Yummy stamp set, which i think I have only used once. And also my fave old in colours.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah for Halloween

I know it hasn't been that long since I changed my blog. But I am excited that Halloween is coming and all the great cards I have been looking at. Thanks for sharing all your great art.

Bride card but no bride.

A friend told me about a kinda fete that was on today, so I popped along with the kid's to see what was there. I must say not a great deal for the kid's, but a lot of party plan. The first thing I saw was a lady from Stampin Up. Lovely lady by the name of Casey. We got chatting (of course) and talking about cards. And I found this little card for sale. I thought it was a lovely card so I pictured it in my mind and when I got home it was the first thing I did. Thanks Casey for sharing your idea's. Casey also had a version of this with a pregnant silhouette. But I couldn't remember both so i went with the bride card.

I used the Oval All stamp set for the sentiment. Colours are basic grey, pink pirouette and baja breeze. Some basic grey ribbon and little felt flowers finished off with some rhinestone brads from the pretties kit.

I really enjoyed making this card. Something different. Now I just need a friend to get married.

Mekisha has a great colour challenge this week. I'm hoping that I haven't missed the deadline. Check out her blog here for details. Also I made the card for the Sweet Sketch Wed challenge. My son has a birthday party to go to tomorrow and I thought I would make a nice card. It's good to see the Pun Fun stamp set out getting used. Thanks for looking
