Lovely Lisa finally turns 40

Today is the day of my big sisters birthday. The lovely Lisa is finally turning 40. Not sure if she is happy about it, but she is going out with a bang. Dinner tonight with the family and a big party tomorrow night. So here is the card I made for her. I made it a while ago, just waiting to put it up today. I have used the new Walk in the park D.S.P and co-ordinating colours whisper white, grey, cameo coral and baja breeze. Lot's of textured CS and some felt and corduroy buttons. I just love these tri-fold cards.
Thanks for looking.

Susannah's Stamp Set Challenge #1

Congrat's on your first challenge Susannah. I couldn't wait to do this. I haven't used the Wild About U set for ages. Also I had brought the Happy Birthday to you stamp but never used.

I have completed the task as set by Susannah, also deciding to pick my three main colours out of the same colour family. Showing again if you have limited supplies and not all colours, you can always mix it up.

Great challenge Susannah. Look forward to the next one.

Thanks for looking.

Christmas Challenge All Year Round #29

I haven't done a challenge in weeks, and just felt like making a card today. So I found a cool christmas challenge at Christmas Stampin All Year Round. The challenge is to hightlight some of your image.

I need to start my challenge with a big thank you to Debbie P. A fantastic and very talented friend. A while back I stamped these Holiday Line Up reindeers and had yet to use them. Also at Stamp Camp a couple of weeks ago I used her label die cut and cut out a whole heap of them. So thanks Debbie. Check out her blog here as she is one talented lady.

Any way back to the card. I have used the new holiday treasure D.S.P which matches the ruby red, choc chip and old olive C.S. I so love these colours. My sentiment is the tricky bit. I brought the 'card making and papercraft' magazine yesterday and found a great way to use the square scallop. You punch out the square scallop and then trim either side to make it into an label for your sentiment. Not sure if I'm explaining this right, but you can see from the card what I mean. Any way I thought it was another way to showcase how to use your punches differently.

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a lovely day.

Twinkle toes Tara turns 4

It has been a very busy week for me. Planning my daughters birthday was a lot of hard work. But I must say so worth while. I have been baking and cleaning. Hoping that she will have a lovely birthday and that the rain will stay away.

So of course it was a great day today and couldn't wait to share the pictures of my baby girl plus the fantastic cake that I made her (even if I say so myself).

I love this one with her new baby born my parents gave her. Am think I might have to call child service if she doesn't stop dropping her on her head. So funny. Also a bit concerned as that's my mum helping her dress the doll and I'm wondering how me and my sisters survived. Lol.

What a lovely day. And a special thanks again to Leonie for doing the kid's face painting. All the kid's looked great.

But I must say I need to mention what a bad mum I am as I forgot to make my daughter a card. How bad is that. It totally slipped my mind and I had to pull out a store brought princess card at 11.30 last night. Will never forgive my self. Lol

Cirlce of friends

Well it's been a very busy last few days and I haven't even looked at a stamp or a card. I must say I had a great time over the weekend catching up with the team and meeting some new people. Thanks again to all for making it a memorable weekend. Which ties in well that I have been given a blog award from Kellie for friendship.

Here are the rules for this award:
  • To pick up the Circle of Friends Blog Award cut and paste the award onto your own blog.
  • Nominate 5 other bloggers.
  • Link to your nominees within your blog post.
  • Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post.
  • Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation. Comment on their blogs to let them know they’ve received the award.

I have gone different to Kellie so I can showcase some other talent out there. :

Also here is a card that I made a couple of weeks ago. I really loved the lay out of this card and the colours. Thanks to the person who gave me the inspiration for this card, but I forgot who did. Opps. Bad blogger.
