Scary Skulls

I wasn't sure about using this set but in the end I had a lot of fun. I used the just jawing stamp set with black and pixie pink. Some nice chunky glitter on the eyes and bow. Perfect for a 16 year old. Finished off with some black ribbon. Nice and simple.

For my next card I decided to go with a bulldogs theme. My girlfriends daugher is turning 13 and loves the doggies. So I hope she likes the card. I used real red, night of navy and whisper white C.S and ribbon. I coloured in the bow and eyes with the night of navy marker and finished off with some cyrstal effects. I hope she likes it. Now I need to keep it safe as her birthday isn't til June. Lol.

MDUC #8

I love this weeks challenge. I couldn't wait to use the cupcake that Kellie sent me the other week. Thanks Kellie. I used pretty in pink and barely banana CS. Pretty in Pink ribbon. I found some pink flowers at a craft shop in Hall's Gap at easter and am so happy that I am using them already. I didn't have a white flower, so I took one of the pink ones and inked it with whisper white ink. Finished off with some misc D.S.P and a white brad. Perfect card for a little girl. Also it's a bit hard to see but I clear embossed the bow and the little hearts. It gives it a little bit of a shiny look.

Thanks for looking.

Not that I'm being greedy, but another great blogger has got some blog candy on offer. Well done to Debbie who has had 15,555 hit's on her blog. Please go and check out her blog here to up this great offer.

I won. I won. Yeah

Well I am in total shock and excitement. Kellie Winnell had some great blog candy going, and I won it. I couldn't be more excited. Kellie is a great stamper and a very generous person. So visit her blog here and check out all her great card's. She also has another blog called Magnolia Down Under so check out that one aswell.

Thanks again Kellie. Happy blogging and stampin to all.

Circle Circus

Wow what a busy week. Didn't have much time to stamp, but yesterday I went into overdrive and I couldn't stop myself.

I went to a another SU demonstrators/friends house (Leanne) and had a bit of fun with her new Circle Circus stamp set. I wasn't going to get this one, but now I 'm thinking maybe. So I stamped out some circles and brought home to make a card.

I went on SCS to have a look, and that is when I realised that it is a brand new stamp set and there was only one other card I found on the site to look at. Here is her blog if you want to have a look at what she made.

So I got out my Haiku D.S.P (which matches the circle circus stamp set) and start to play around. I must say it was lot's of fun. Very bright and different colour combo's.

So this is my first card. I used old olive, tangering tango and more mustard CS. Haiku D.S.P. More mustard brad and old olive, more mustard ribbon. I used my old olive stamp pad, and stamped the old olive CS to give it the background effect. I stamped the circle circus image three times in the different colours and used dementions to give it some hight. I must say I really love this colour combo.

My next card is similar. Colours I used are pasific point, riding hood red, tangerine tango with the haiku D.S.P. Some misc orange ribbon and finished off with my first build a brad. YEAH. I must say it was hard to find things to match as I don't have any ribbon in the new in colours. (that's the next order). I really like using the 3 colour's with the scallop punch and I must say that I am really liking the new in colours. I feel like I'm cheating on the old in colours. Maybe I need to get them out for a play. So they don't feel left out. He He

New stamps and New colours

I couldn't wait for the children to go to bed last night so I could make a card. I found a card on SCS that I loved so here it is.

I did change it to suit a normal size card.

I started with the A flower for all seasons stamp set. I used pink pirouette, kiwi kiss, baja breeze, so saffron and choc chip ink. I used the new Urban Garden D.S.P with pink pirouette, chop chip, baja breeze, and whisper white C.S. I then used a couple of flowers from the time well spent stamp set on the white squares. A greeting from pocket silhouettes and some fabulous choc chip wide ribbon. Finished off with my new flower fusion 2 felt flowers and a misc brad to hold together.

I was hoping to add one of the new build a brads, but I just didn't have the room. Never mind. Next card.

Thanks for looking.

Home

So I have just got back from our easter holiday and we had a great time. Lots of walking and shopping. I even found a couple of craft shops. He He. But am very happy to be home. Couldn't wait to get on line to see what everyone has been up to. Lot's of people have been very busy with there new stamps and are doing wonderful things.

I only got my new stamps on Thurs morning and didn't have time to play, so I can't wait. Over the weekend I was coming up with some idea's. Now just need to put them on paper.

MDUC #6

One more card before I go on holidays today. My loving husband was very good at packing the car last night, which meant that I had some spare time today. So I thought I would quickly make a card for the challenge. I must say that I so love using these magnolia stamps.

Firstly I need to thank Debbie P for doing some swaps with me this week, which is where I get my little baby and bird from. Thanks Debbie.

I have used bashful blue, whisper white and barely banana card stock. I cuttle bug the blue and put of some misc blue and yellow brads. Bashful blue stripped ribbon and Yeah for my new hostess set punches three. Which was a bit tricky to cut out, as I didn't buy the new oval punch. Never mind. Will put it on the next order.

I also cased a technique from the lovely Jenni Oliver my up line. By getting the distressed look on the yellow CS I used my so saffron ink pad and stamped directly on to the CS. Great idea Jenni. I know that I will use that again.

Thanks for looking

Travel safe this easter.

My Father

My wonderful father is turning 70 this weekend. Which worked in well that all of his family are going away together for easter. So of course I wanted to make a special card just for him. I am ashamed to say that there is not alot of stampin up products on this card. The card is one full size A4 paper in half. I have cut out shapes of creative memories paper for different angles, and finished off the trim with SU night of navy and mellow moss ribbon. Some misc brown brads to top it off. I can't forget the chip board 70 which I have never done before, so thanks Leonie for helping me with that.

The only trick here is that I mounted all the paper and ribbon onto half an A4 piece of card stock before mounting it onto the card. It made it all a bit easier.

So thanks for looking at my Philipppa orginal and have a great easter.

Easter MDUC #5

This weeks MDUC #5 is easter insired. I must say having a whole week to think about what card to do is great. I had lots of time to think about what I wanted to do. Mind you I still had no idea until I sat down and did it.

A big thank you to Kellie who sent me some Tilda swaps this week. I can't wait to colour them all in. But was so grateful when I saw that she had added an easter Tilda for me to use in the challenge.

So here is my card. I started with pink pirouette, bashful blue card stock. Some misc chook paper and some feathers that I found in my stash. Whisper white, pretty in pink and bashful blue ribbon to finish it off. The top corner looks a bit bare to me, so will fill it in later.
