Photo Challenge

My 6th picture from my 6th file is this picture of my beautiful boy Cameron. Taken just over a year. From what I remember it's one of those "take a picture now mum" photos. Never mind the snot hanging down from his nose. But it's better then the next photo which was of Cameron on christmas day 2007. He woke up with a bad reaction to a bug bite and his face blew up. He spent all of christmas morning in the Sunshine Hospital poor baby. At least the last christmas was bug bite free.

36 and FABULOUS

So yesterday was my birthday and I turned 36. It was very hard to celebrate when all you wanted to do was sit still and try and keep cool. But it turned out to be great. You know you are loved when your family and friends brave the heat to come and see you for your birthday. So thanks to all.
Leonie and Sarah made me some great cards that I wanted to share with you. Aswell as a wonderful masterpiece from my beautiful nephew Angus. Check out Leonie's blog here if you want the instructions for the witch card.

Thank you all for sharing my day with me.
(P.S. My computer is behaving like a three year old and wont do as I ask. The pictures are upside down as they refuse to turn anti clockwise. Any way am too tired and hot to work it out and will fix it when I can.)
Thanks for looking sideways. He He

Breannan's Blog

So my lovely girlfriend is down visiting with her children, and I decided tonight to teach her 13 year old daughter Breannan how to make an Origami box. I'm not sure if she wanted to at the start, but she seemed to have fun doing it.

After a few mistakes (my fault as I forgot how to make it). But it all worked out when I found the instructions. Notice the fine work she is doing with the bone folder. Another convert to Stampin Up.

Here is her finished project. She is going to give them to her friends for presents. How sweet.

Thanks for looking

Zac's birthday

I just love the In the stars stamp set. My partner in crime Leonie (see blog here)brought this one and when we had a work shop we show cased this set. We did a similar card, and added lots of chunky glitter to it.

Any way it's my nephew/god sons birthday and I wanted to make him a card. I tried to control myself as I know boys arn't into bling. But Zac is into the Carlton football club, so that is the colours I went for. Whisper white and Not quite navy. I used my new paper crimper that I got from an education toy magazine to crimp it up and finished with a bit of chunky glitter bling. I hope he likes it.

Colour Challenge #39

I have been having so much fun looking at everyones card's for this weeks colour challenge. And thinking that I really need to do this challange to challenge me. I am not a bold brights kind of girl, and find it very hard to use these colours. Even thought the first two inks I brought where from this group of colours. But that's another story. He He

So even though I don't have alot of the inks, I did buy the crayons a while back. I thought it would give me the opportunity to use bold brights with out it being so bold.

So today when looking at all of your card's, I came up with this one. I used the A little bit of happiness, and For a friend stamp set. Both hostess sets. My so saffron brads and some crystal effects for the hearts. Very simple. A nice card to give a friend on valentines day.

I hope you like it. I must say I really enjoyed all the colouring in. It's very theaputic.

Baby Card's

For some reason last night I decided to make baby card's. There is only one woman I know that is pregnant at the moment, and her baby isn't due until July. Any way now I am organised. Of course she doesn't know the sex yet so I made two.

I am also happy to report that these card's are 100% my design. I think having my own stampin table and everything set up has helped inspire me.

The stamp sets I used are wild about you and Cause for celebration. The card's are exactly the same except the colour. I used bashful blue and whisper white card stock. Bashful blue ink and taffeta ribbon. I cuttlebugged the blue on the card. I then finished off with silver embossing on the rattle and spots on the giraffe. I love my new versa mark pen. (Thanks Leonie).

Then I repeated the same card in pretty in pink.

Happy stampin to you all today and thanks for looking.

40 years should be Sale -a-brated

My beautiful Mum and Dad are celebrating 40 years of marraige in Feb so I thought I would make them a card.

Again I found inspiration here. I just finished the card and couldn't wait till tomorrow to take a photo of it so it's a bit dark.

As you can see I used the Polka Dot Punches stamp set again, with the Congrats saying. Purely Pomegranite ribbon, C.S, ink and whisper white card stock. (I am really lucky that I had any ribbon to use as my darling 3 year old daughter decided this afternoon to cut up what was left of my purley pomegranite ribbon. Very cheeky). I used the Bali Breeze D.S.P from the summer mini. I stamped the hearts onto the reverse side of the Bali breeze paper, so it has a nice spotted effect. Not sure if you can see that. I then embossed in silver the congrats saying. TFL

Sale-a-bration

Leonie and I had a workshop on Sat and decided to make some cards out of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets. At the time my computer was playing games, and wouldn't let me donwload the pictures. But luckly today my computer is playing nice.

To be honest I was really stuck on making a card with the new sets, so I started having a look in blog land and I found the next few cards here. Thanks Andrea for the inspiration.

I started with the Polka Dot Punches stamp set and the Time well spent (hostess set) for the stem and leaves. I used taken with teal, rose red, more mustard and D.S.P from the new summer mini. More mustard ribbon and brad. I love when I can cordinate my brads and ribbon. I markered the leaves and petals with taken with teal, more mustard, rose red and old olive. I punched out warmest wishes from the So many sayings hostess set. TFL

The Future Stampers

Just before Christmas we decided it would be a great idea to have a childrens workshop. So with 9 children and their mums/granny we made lots of things. Christmas candles, cards, Glitter bells (thanks Leonie. I'm still getting the glitter out of the furniture) Mini christmas puddings, made with choc royal biscuits, mint leaves and jaffa lollies and melted white choc.

The children had a fantastic day. And as you can see from the photo we have a lot of up and coming stampers. Such a great day. Will defiently be having another one this year.

Thanks to all who brought stuff and helped on the day.
