Team Meeting

So today I went to my first team meeting. Held by my up line Jenni O. I had a lovely day Jenni and thanks again for welcoming me into your lovely home.

It was so nice to catch up with people that we have only meet in blog land. Lot's of laughs and sharing idea's and stamps.

What a great day. It's nice to meet people that have the same obsessions as I have. Even another Twilight fan. Yeah Jenni. On that note, Debbie you need to finish the 2nd book. He He.

Here are my swaps for the day and a photo of the other lovely swaps I collected. Sorry but the choc that was passed around is already in my tummy so couldn't take a photo of it.

Can't wait for the next one.

Bling Bling! MDUC #4

I must say I wasn't looking forward to the bling challenge. I'm not much of a bling girl. Any way I started this card yesterday, and just couldn't get into it. So I put it down and forgot about it.

But after a fantastic day out with some other stampers and friends I got some inspiration and came straight home and completed my card. Not sure if I went a bit overboard on the glitter shoes, but what little girl doesn't like bling on her shoes.

Thanks for looking.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #3

This weeks Magnolia Down Under Challenge had 3 design challenges.

They were
  • Must have yellow ribbon
  • Must have a flower
  • Must be tilda
So here is my Tilda card. I used close to cocoa and so saffron CS. Very vanilla ribbon(looks yellow to me so I hope it's ok). I coloured in my flower jean tilda with pencils and sponged so saffron on the so saffron CS. Two misc flowers and a choc chip brad from my collection. I found some D.S.P that I got about a year ago and never used, so I am happy that I got a chance to use it.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #2

I am so excited. Finally I got my Magnolia stamps the other day. Yeah. But not a lot of time to use it. So last night was the night. The Magnolia Down Under Challenge was on.

I started with Edwin and coloured him in. Then it was Tilda's turn. After that I was stuck. I new that I wanted something brilliant for my first card, but just couldn't think of anything. With alot of thinking and creating I came up with my first beautiful little Tilda card.

I used the new Pink Pirouette CS and a Bashful blue cuttle bug background. I cuttle bugged a garden green flower and cut it out. Adding a yellow misc button from my stash. So for the ribbon challenge, I had to add 5 different ribbons. But once I added one, the card just looked finished to me and I didn't want to add any more. So on to my next card I went.

Once again racking my brain for inspiration I came up with my first ever Edwin card. I have to thank the lady from the Magnolia online shop, as she sent me these stone steps for free. Wasn't that nice of her. I know I will be defiantly going back for more. So I started off with the new in colour Pacific Point, with really rust CS. Creamy caramel textured paper. But the exciting thing is the ribbon challenge. I used choc chip wide double stitch and choc chip taffata for my road. Creamy caramel gingham for my door frame, Kraft taffata for my house and a very small basic gray taffata for my door knob. Yeah I did it. My first Magnolia Down Under Challenge.

Thanks for looking.

Twilight

So very excited. I just found this new blog page. I'm a huge, huge fan of the Twilight series books and movie. This is the picture from the last book. How cool.

Octopus friends

I had so much fun making this card today. I decided that since I had some little green bubbles, that the card had to be green to match.

I used the fishy friends stamp set. ( be careful Leonie, I think I may steal this from your house tonight) He He He.

Certainly celery and elegant eggplant CS and ink. Elegant eggplant ribbon. I cuttle bugged the bottom which sort of gives the look of seaweed and finished off with misc green bubbles. I'm not the happiest with this card, but I like the colour combo. It sort of feels like something is missing. Never mind, not everything is a masterpiece. Especially in my house.

Thanks for looking.

I didn't realize what a shocking photo it is. will take another one tomorrow and put it up. Sorry

Special Day

My niece Stephanie has her Christening on Sat, so I wanted to make her a special card. The stamp is not Stampin Up, but one that Leonie had in her stash (thanks Leonie)

I used barely banana, pretty in pink and white CS. Pretty in pink and whisper white ribbon and pretty in pink ink. Some misc button's from Leonie's stash.(thanks again) and a nice scalloped edge to finish it off.

I really like doing little baby card's. There so cute. The image is not so good. Due to the fact that the sun has gone down.

Thanks for looking.

Fishy Friends

I was so excited when Leonie told me she had brought fishy friends. So I couldn't wait to go around and have a play last Thursday. I have to mention that I did case this off SCS but as usual I can't find where. So thank you to the clever person who thought this up.

I used pumkin pie, and taken with teal ink and CS. I used my blender pen to colour in the fishy. I stamped the image three times, so I could give it a 3D look. Not sure if you can see it. The 3rd layer is just the little orange fin. I'm running out of the summer mini DSP, but found just enough to give me a nice ocean look and finished off with some misc bubbles. The happy birthday sign is from Pretty Princess.
