The Blues

I had a really good look around some blogs tonight and decided to make one of Michelle Zindorf's famous card's.

I used the both ways blossoms stamp set.
Whisper white, soft sky and night of navy CS.
Soft sky, blue bayou and night of navy ink.
Black marker(misc) and white gel pen.
If you follow Michelle Zindorf's link, you can get all directions on how to make the most wonderful card's.

I think it turned out wonderful, except it was getting late and I feel I went a bit overboard on the white gel pen. But never mind, I'm happy with the results. It's good to try different things.

My New background

So I have been looking at everyones blog and have noticed some of you have changed your background for christmas. So I decided to do the same. But as usual I am not really a traditional red girl so I have gone for something more me. I love the colours. Am thinking these colours would be good for a colour challenge. What do you think.

Color Challenge #32

To start with I'm one of those people that have a real issue with putting whisper white and vanilla together, so I'm still not sure how much I like this card. But I think it turned out ok in the end.

I cased this card from the Lovely Leonie. We used this card in one of our workshops, but we used just black and white. It makes for a lovely engagement or wedding card.

This card is what we call a gatefold card. You cut a piece of paper legnth ways in half and fold both ends into the middle or where ever you want your fold to be. I used the Always stamp set with real red (no ridinghood red in Aust yet) and whisper white CS. Real red ink, real red and vanilla ribbon. I embossed the hearts in silver. These are so not my colours, so I really feel I have completed the challange.

Saturday Night Wonders

It's a Saturday night and it's pouring with rain outside. So what a great time to make a card. To be honest I feel lately that alot of my cards have been a bit boring and plain, so I wanted to make something different. So on to SCS I go to get some inspiration.

First it was a quick call to Leonie to ask if I could borrow her Lovely as a Tree and Embrace Life stamp set. So thank you to Leonie.

The first card is from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I used More Mustard, Really Rust, Vanilla C.S and Afternoon Tea D.S.P (new summer mini) . Choc Chip and Old Olive ribbon. Really Rust Ink. I embossed the tree in gold, and coloured it in using my pencils and blender pen. Also I did alot of sponging around the edges of the card. I am really happy with this card, so I hope you like it too.

The next card I did was using the Embrace Life stamp set (New summer mini). Groovy guava, Ruby Red, River Rock, Vanilla and Ginger Blosson D.S.P. River Rock ribbon. Groovy Guava, River Rock and Ruby Red Ink. I used my blender pen to colour in the flower in groovy guava and then with ruby red. I popped it up with dimensionals to finish it off.

It's lovely being able to relax and unwind after a very busy week of two sons having birthdays and all 3 children being sick.

Colour Challenge #31

So today was my darling son's 5th birthday, (See above picture) and I am supposed to be cleaning up after all the mess that has been made today. But no. As soon as everyone leaves I get my stamps out and make a card. He he.

Due to the fact that I haven't got a lot of time to complete the challenge, I have made a card that I have made around 4 times before, but changed the colour. I hope you like it.

Firstly I have to admit that I did not create this card. My good friend and upline (See my links) Leanne Saunders created this. It was my very first work shop and I had so much fun.

I used the Looks Like Spring stamp set. Close to cocoa, elegant eggplant, So saffron, pumpkin pie and whisper white CS. Close to cocoa, elegant eggplant, So saffron, pumpkin pie ink.

I got to use my Stampamajig tonight. It is such a great product. I can't believe how long it took me to get it. Isn't it funny how you don't realise you need something so much until you have it.

Happy stampin to all and thanks for visiting my blog.

My little sleepy head

This is what I call a tired little girl. I think kinda was just a bit too much for Tara to handle today and she fell asleep while eating dinner. I love these shot's. Just to let you know, I did take off her jumper and fairy costume she was insisting she wear everywhere, and I cleaned her face. My poor little poppet.

My New Stamps sets. Yeah

After the regionals on Saturday I have been so exhausted and had no time to stamp. But could not wait for my new stamp sets, which arrived today. So here is my latest creations.

The first card I did was really simple, but sweet. I used the Say it with Scallops stamp pad, very vanialla, so saffron and taken with teal CS. With the Bali Breeze D.S.P. Taken with teal ink. And a misc blue brad.

The second card had a lot more to it. I cased it from SCS. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1121811?cat=14531

I hope the link works, as it's the first time I have done a link on my pages. Yeah me.

So I used the beautiful new set Eastern Blooms. Soft sky, groovy guava, choc chip, close to cocoa and river rock ink. Soft sky, wild wasabi, choc chip, whisper white card stock. With the gorgeous afternoon tea D.S.P. I also sponged around the edges wit chop chip ink. I hope you like it.

Magenta

I have been so busy lately that I haven't made any new cards, but I did go out for Halloween. I went as my favorite character Magenta from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I just love dressing up.
